A Word From the Judges
Students who entered this competition have had their work seen by some of the most talented, creative and successful leaders from across the Australian entertainment, literary, and sport industries because That Sugar Song Competition has the best panel of judges in town!
A BIG THANK YOU
to everyone who participated!
Thank you very much to all the schools and their talented students who have put thought, energy and creativity into their Sugar Song Competition entries. We made THAT SUGAR FILM and THAT SUGAR SONG because we wanted to tell an important story in a fun and entertaining way. Now, we’ve had so much fun running this competition to see how YOU would tell your sugar story in song, music, and performance. We are SO impressed with the effort everyone has made with their entries. Stay tuned for the short list announcement!
All the creative talent we saw from schools has blown us away. We gave students the music video, lyrics, and the music; and then it was over to them to create their own version of THAT SUGAR SONG music video. This competition was open to both primary and secondary school students and we’re so proud of our six finalists. We know it’s not easy making a film and being creative, but we love the ideas these teams came up with and it was VERY hard to narrow it down to the final two! Well done to everyone who entered, we had some fabulous entries, especially our six finalists and their videos can still be viewed here. But someone had to take away those fantastic prize packs so a HUGE congratulations to our Winner, Runner up and Fan Favourite! Fantastic job kids – Damon can’t wait to visit your school and perform your entry with you!
